Who are we?
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy!
The Mechanical Designer/Engineer primarily works on Engineered-to-Order (ETO) design projects to meet customer requirements in a team environment. These designs will typically be large Power Distribution Cabinets and Power Switching Cabinets for use in data centers. Will be required to meet project goals such as schedule, manufacturability, and cost. This position will consist of creating designs, drawings, bills of material, and processing Engineering Change Orders.
What kind of work will you be doing?
Create 3D models using sheet metal and part modeling functionality in CAD
Create complex drawings and bills of material for sheet metal, bus bar, and assemblies.
Write, submit, release Engineering changes to new and released product documentation in CAD and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) database using our revision control system.
Work with cross functional groups with the same goals for the project.
Ability to interpret agency design standards (Such as UL) for our products.
Create order list for prototype units and ensure material is received with Project Managers.
Work with ETO Engineering Supervisor for task lists and priorities.
Interact with ETO team members to efficiently breakdown tasks, discuss design ideas, and work through issues.
Occasional contact with outside vendors and suppliers as needed.
General knowledge of single and three phase power.
Able to interpret schematics with electrical components such as fuses and circuit breakers.
What will make you successful?
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience OR
Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience OR
High School Diploma and 15+ years of relevant experience.
Must have good planning, organizing, documentation and communication skills. Must be team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
3D CAD experience is a must; prefer Solid Edge or Creo with sheet metal experience.
Oracle PLM experience is a plus, but willing to train.
Simulation experience is a plus (ANSYS, thermal/airflow)

The anticipated salary range for this role in the Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy locality is between 33.000€ to 41.000€ gross per year [IF ROLE IS NON-EXEMPT: (based on a 40-hour work week)]—salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional benefits. Where applicable, a comprehensive overview of the full benefits package and any additional compensation will be provided during the initial interview. Compensation ranges are determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria including skills, experience, and job responsibilities.
