Frontend Developer

This position sits within a modern product engineering team responsible for building scalable customer-facing applications and backend-for-frontend (BFF) services powering core user experiences across the platform.

The role has a strong focus on:

Node.js backend development

BFF architecture

Next.js applications

Frontend performance and scalability

System design and engineering fundamentals

AI-assisted engineering workflows

You’ll work closely with engineers, product and platform teams to deliver highly scalable user experiences while contributing to architectural decisions across frontend and backend systems.

Tech Environment

Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript

Backend: Node.js, Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture, APIs & service integrations

Cloud & Architecture: GCP, Distributed systems, Event-driven architecture, Microservices

Additional: AI/agentic engineering tooling, High-scale marketplace systems

What They’re Looking For

Strong commercial experience with Node.js and Next.js

Experience building scalable frontend applications

Understanding of BFF patterns and API orchestration

Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals

Experience working within cloud-native environments

Ability to contribute to architecture and system design discussions

Engineers comfortable operating in modern AI-assisted development environments

Nice to Have

Experience within high-traffic product businesses

Experience with distributed systems or microservices

Strong product mindset

Experience optimising frontend performance and developer experience
