Sr DevOps / Systems Engineer

Job Description:

DXC Technology Italy is looking for Sr DevOps / Systems Engineer to join C&I offering.

Responsibilities

Kubernetes Operations

Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (on-prem or cloud).

Manage cluster lifecycle: upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Implement and maintain cluster components such as ingress controllers, storage integrations, and networking plugins.

Ensure high availability, resilience, and adherence to best practices.

CI/CD Pipeline Engineering

Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.

Automate application deployment workflows and environment provisioning.

Integrate testing, security scanning, and quality gates into pipelines.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

Use Terraform, Helm, and related IaC tools to define and manage infrastructure.

Automate repetitive operational tasks using Bash or Python.

Maintain version-controlled infrastructure and configuration repositories.

Monitoring & Observability

Deploy and manage monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager).

Implement logging and metrics collection for cluster and application visibility.

Perform root-cause analysis and optimize system performance.

Systems & Platform Support

Manage Linux-based systems and container runtimes.

Collaborate with development teams to support containerization and deployment best practices.

Participate in on-site operational activities, troubleshooting, and incident response.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration.

Proficiency with CI/CD tools and pipeline design.

Solid understanding of container technologies (Docker, containerd).

Experience with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows.

Good scripting skills in Bash or Python.

Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.

Strong Linux systems engineering background.
