You Are:

An experienced Medical Content Editor looking to leverage your understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape to ensure the highest of quality for any deliverable. The Medical Editor is an essential member of our life sciences copy and content team and will be responsible for providing editorial services for the pharmaceutical and medical device creative pieces we develop.

The Work:

Edits initial round of deliverables for content as well as for American Medical Association (AMA) style, brand and/or client style, FDA rules and regulations, grammar, spelling, consistency within the piece and among related pieces within a campaign

Fact-checks initial round of jobs and subsequent rounds as necessary (has the ability to understand scientific and medical data to ensure copy accurately represents the source from which it was taken)

Proofs a variety of promotional materials, including but not limited to emails, websites, print and digital templates, sales training materials, e-mails, e-detailers, banner ads, internal/external presentations

Ensures the quality of format and visual quality of layout

Attends status and kickoff meetings for all assigned accounts; participates in the development of timelines when appropriate

Maintains and updates assigned client style guides

Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure a consistent, integrated customer experience

Here’s What You’ll Need:

3+ years of medical editing and/or proofreading experience at a pharma/life sciences advertising agency or related industry (for example, medical/healthcare publishing)

Demonstrates and develops a working understanding of medical terminology and a strong command of the English language

Should be thoroughly versed in American Medical Association (AMA) style and FDA rules and regulations

Proficient in basic grammar and spelling rules

Knowledge of all proofing and editing symbols

Able to work autonomously in a remote setting

Ability to ensure scientific accuracy by fact-checking all relevant copy

Ability to balance competing priorities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Capacity to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED/CAEC

English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Bonus Points if:

You’re well-versed in Life Sciences creative principles, e.g. MLR review processes and requirements, Fair Balance, branded vs. unbranded restrictions, etc.

You have experience in Oncology, Neurology, Rare Disease, Patient Services, Vaccines, Clinical Trials or related areas

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location,

role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time

employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
