We’re looking for a Project Design Manager to join our team and help shape the delivery of one of our exciting residential projects at Green Square.

This is a key opportunity for an experienced design leader who thrives in complex project environments and is passionate about design excellence, collaboration and delivering high-quality outcomes.

The opportunity

As Project Design Manager, you will lead and coordinate the design process across all disciplines to optimise project outcomes, maximise value and minimise risk. Working closely with Development, Construction and consultant teams, you will play a central role in driving design excellence from concept through to delivery.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will:

Lead the design process across all project stages, from briefing and design development through to documentation, construction and project finalisation

Manage and coordinate external consultants and design teams to deliver high-quality, compliant and buildable design outcomes

Drive collaboration across internal stakeholders including Development, Construction, Cost Planning, HSE and Digital teams

Facilitate design meetings, reviews and decision-making to keep the project moving forward efficiently

Oversee design programme, consultant performance and design-related risk, budget and reporting

Identify opportunities for innovation, value optimisation and continuous improvement

Champion design excellence while balancing commercial, programme and delivery requirements

Support strong safety-in-design, sustainability and digital engineering outcomes throughout the project lifecycle

What you bring

You will be a confident and capable design management professional with experience working across complex projects and multiple disciplines. You’ll bring a strong understanding of the full design process, along with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across a broad stakeholder group.

We’re looking for someone with:

Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design processes across all project stages

Experience in a design management or similar leadership role within property, development or construction

Strong knowledge of design documentation, consultant coordination, programme and cost management

The ability to balance design quality with commercial and delivery outcomes

Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong eye for risk, detail and opportunity

Relevant tertiary qualifications in architecture, design, engineering, construction or a related discipline
