Sr. Software Test Engineer - Manual

Job Title: QA Manual Test Engineer Experience: 4 – 8 Years Location: Gurgaon (Night Shift) Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Manual Test Engineer with 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in manual testing methodologies and must-have experience working with Swagger (OpenAPI) for API validation and testing. This role requires working in night shifts to support global stakeholders and ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Perform manual testing of web and/or mobile applications to ensure product quality and stability

Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans

Validate APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI documentation

Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing

Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios

Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Conduct API testing and validate request/response structures using Swagger UI

Ensure timely delivery of testing activities aligned with project timelines

Must-Have Skills

Strong experience in Manual Testing (4–8 years)

Hands-on experience with Swagger / OpenAPI for API testing

Good understanding of SDLC and STLC

Experience in API testing (REST APIs)

Proficiency in writing test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports

Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, etc.)

Good knowledge of SQL for database validation

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience in Postman or similar API testing tools

Basic knowledge of automation testing (Selenium, etc.)

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines

Experience working in Agile environments

Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to work independently in night shift environment

Strong attention to detail and quality mindset

Team player with proactive attitude

Night Shift (Mandatory) – aligned with international client time zones

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
