About the role
BESS Project Manager (End-to-End Delivery)
We are seeking an experienced BESS Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle delivery of Battery Energy Storage System projects, from early development through to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities
Full ownership of project delivery from feasibility to COD and handover
Define and implement project execution strategy and governance
Manage schedule, budget, risk, and project performance
Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
Oversee stakeholders including clients, contractors, suppliers, and grid operators
Ensure design and engineering compliance with technical standards and contractual requirements
Manage procurement processes and contract administration, including variations and claims
Oversee construction progress, quality assurance, and HSE compliance
Lead commissioning, testing, and operational readiness prior to handover
Requirements
Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Energy, or similar)
Proven experience delivering large-scale energy or infrastructure projects end-to-end
Experience in BESS, renewables, or grid-connected systems
Strong EPC or Owner’s Engineering background
Knowledge of project controls (schedule, cost, risk)
Strong understanding of BESS systems and grid compliance
Experience managing contracts, procurement, and contractor performance
Confident German language skills (spoken and written)
Willingness to travel and work on-site regularly
