Operations Manager

LHH is seeking an Operations Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent position with a client near the Bloomington, IN area.

You’ll play a critical role in building systems, improving workflows, and ensuring seamless coordination across partners, suppliers, and internal teams. Rather than maintaining established processes, you’ll be responsible for developing them from the ground up.

Compensation: $110K - $125K annually (negotiable commensurate on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable operational systems, processes, and workflows to support

business growth

• Partner closely with leadership to drive strategic initiatives and operational alignment

• Coordinate supply chain activities including materials planning, pricing alignment, and

logistics flow

• Serve as the primary liaison for external manufacturing partners to ensure smooth execution

and delivery

• Support commercial activities by assisting with contract alignment, pricing frameworks, and

partner coordination

• Identify inefficiencies and introduce automation tools to streamline manual processes

• Establish key performance metrics and reporting structures to track operational success

• Create standard operating procedures and implement enabling technologies to support scale

• Assist with organizational growth initiatives, including hiring and infrastructure planning

• Contribute to broader business initiatives, including supporting strategic partnerships and

growth opportunities

Qualifications:

• Proven experience building operational infrastructure in a startup or scaling environment

• Strong background in process improvement, systems implementation, and workflow

optimization

• Exposure to supply chain, production coordination, or manufacturing-related operations

• Demonstrated ability to leverage technology, automation tools, or AI to improve efficiency

• Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with a “roll up your sleeves” approach

• Ability to operate across both strategic and tactical priorities

Preferred Background

• Experience supporting product development environments with external manufacturing

partners

• Familiarity with scaling operations tied to growing customer demand

• Prior involvement in developing SOPs, KPIs, and operational frameworks

• Exposure to materials-driven or production-oriented workflows
