Role Description This is a full time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Hove. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy to grow Lawspeed’s client base within the recruitment and staffing sector as well as extend take up on the Proterms innovation. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, managing inbound and outbound sales activities, and conducting consultative sales conversations with owners and leaders of recruitment businesses. The role will involve building and maintaining long-term client relationships, preparing and delivering proposals and presentations, and working closely with legal and consultancy colleagues to align client needs with service offerings. The Sales Manager will also monitor market trends, maintain accurate CRM records, and provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to leadership.

Qualifications

Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in professional, digital (SAAS) services, or the recruitment sector, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

Strong skills in prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals, including confidence in outbound calling and consultative selling.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to explain complex concepts clearly to non-legal audiences.

Comfortable working with CRM systems and basic sales analytics to track activity, forecast revenue, and inform decisions.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including legal and consultancy professionals, while working independently to manage day-to-day priorities.

Understanding of, or strong interest in learning about, recruitment industry operations, compliance, and relevant UK legal frameworks (e.g., IR35, agency regulations).

Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable, with strong time-management skills.

Relevant education or professional qualifications in business, sales, marketing, or a related field are beneficial but not essential when supported by suitable experience.`

Requirement

The successful applicant will be a ‘go ahead’ ‘can do’ sales manager who ‘gets’ recruitment, has a proven B2B track record of success, who can lead sales and drive growth in this £35bn p.a. recruitment industry, in line with sensible but ambitious targets.

Salary

This position commands a starting salary between £35k and £45k with commission based on profit/ OTE and share options available as the business grows. The right candidate can expect long term involvement and rewards with investment options in this exciting business.
