What you will do:

Design and engineer utility‑scale solar PV and energy storage (BESS) systems at 5-50MW or higher.

System layout of modules and equipment.

Equipment selection and specification development.

One‑line and three‑line diagrams.

DC, LVAC and MVAC cable sizing and routing.

SCADA and communication system design.

Relay & communication programming: SEL 651, 751, 735, & RTAC.

Grounding system design.

Wiring diagrams, trench design, and basic pole design.

Engineering studies, including, but not limited to arc flash, coordination, grounding, thermal ampacity, lightning risk assessment.

Prepare complete construction drawings using AutoCAD.

Coordinate with clients, utilities, permitting authorities, contractors, and partnering engineering firms.

Support Construction Administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting site visits.

Manage multiple projects effectively and ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs.

What you will bring:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

5-7+ years of experience designing commercial and/or utility‑scale solar PV systems.

Experience collaborating with construction, technical, and non‑technical teams.

Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with AutoCAD, including layer control, dimensioning, scaling, sheet sets, blocks, xrefs, line weights, and file management.

Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) license required

Proficiency with AutoCAD (or similar CAD platforms).

Proficiency with power system design and modeling software (e.g., Etap, CYMCAP, WinGIS, PSCAD, PSS/E, CDEGS).

Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and design tools.
