About the role

Senior UX/UI Product Designer

Office based Moorgate London, 4 days per week

The Fortinet data protection team helps global customers protect their Intellectual Property and sensitive data by delivering a unified Data Loss Prevention and Insider Risk Management solution that integrates with Fortinet’s Security Fabric.

As a Senior UI/UX Designer at Fortinet, you'll be responsible for collecting and translating user insights into efficient workflow experiences and UX and UI designs for cyber security professionals.

The UX team plays a crucial role within the product and engineering organisation in gathering insights, translating business requirements, advocating for users who perform complex tasks and bringing our experiences to life with intuitive interfaces.

Core Responsibilities

Leading the end-to-end design process, from discovery research to effective problem framing, ideation, co-creation, prototyping and user testing.

Enabling collaboration with stakeholders across product, engineering, and customer success to deliver excellent, consistent user experiences.

Representing the team in cross-functional discussions to drive alignment across participants.

Driving user-centred design, consistency and usability across stakeholders and teams

Contributing to and building out our design library and system.

Facilitating design workshops.

Ensuring your designs are implemented and shipped as designed.

Driving forward and managing multiple initiatives at different levels of scope.

Role requirements

Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or a related field.

Pro-active, self-starter. You’re comfortable and have experience leading design projects.

Experience as a design practitioner with projects of varying scale, dealing with ambiguity and driving projects forward with user-centred design.

Excellent interaction and visual design skills and a portfolio of projects.

Effective communication and presentation skills, ability to listen, proactively address feedback, and represent and advocate for UX and users.

Excellent collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, working alongside Product Management and Engineering and our users to deliver exceptional and intuitive products and features.

You are an expert in standard UX design tools such as Figma/FigJam, Sketch, InVision, Framer, Adobe, UXPin, Balsamic, and Omnigraffle.
