Role: Data Scientist
Location: Toronto, Canada (Onsite)
Experience: 4–10 years
Key Responsibilities:
Build and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems
Perform exploratory data analysis and extract actionable insights
Work with large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions
Develop predictive models for areas like fraud detection, customer behavior, or transaction analytics
Required Skills:
Strong experience with Python and SQL
Solid understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling
Experience with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Experience with big data tools (Spark / Hadoop) is a plus
Domain experience in financial services, fintech, or payments (preferred)
Nice to Have:
Experience with fraud detection / transaction data / risk modeling
Knowledge of data pipelines and ETL processes
