At Autobarn, we are looking for an experienced and values-driven Area Manager to lead, support, and grow a portfolio of stores across WA, NT, TAS and SA, ensuring operational excellence and strong commercial performance.
About the Role
Reporting to the State Manager, the Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance of multiple Autobarn stores within your region. As a key leader, you will coach and inspire teams, be a visible leader, drive sales growth, and maintain operational excellence while upholding our strong values and commitment to integrity.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll spend time in-store, building capability and fostering a high-performance culture. You will be responsible for:
Team & Culture
Building a high-performance culture by coaching leaders and managing team performance issues.
Fostering a positive, values-driven workplace aligned with Autobarn core values.
Store Standards – Good Process
Ensuring consistent execution of operational processes, marketing, and visual merchandising standards.
Maintaining store integrity through accurate stock management and inventory control.
Leadership
Leading, coaching, and developing Store Managers and teams.
Overseeing recruitment and managing performance, including implementing PIPs where required.
Customer Delivery & Business Development
Driving customer satisfaction and service excellence across all stores.
Delivering sales growth through promotions, events, and identifying new business opportunities.
Health and Safety
Promoting safe work practices and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, reporting hazards and incidents promptly.
Supporting safety initiatives, including Toolbox Talks and maintaining up-to-date safety signage.
Financial & Administration
Managing budgets and driving profitability through strong financial and KPI oversight.
Analysing P&L and performance metrics to identifying opportunities and improving results.
About You
You are an experienced retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. You will bring:
Proven experience in a multi-site retail management role
Integrity-driven leadership with a focus on values and teamwork
Exceptional leadership and coaching capability
Ability to influence, motivate, and engage teams
Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering results
Strong adaptability, resilience, and attention to detail
