“Hospitality is a work of Heart” and The Accor Fragrance portfolio has a perfect opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our amazing commercial team. The Portfolio consists of the Mövenpick Hotel Hobart | Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne on Spencer | ibis Styles Hobart | Novotel Devonport.

Reporting to the Director of Commercial, this position is an ideal role for an experienced, exemplary Business Development Executive or Business Development Manager looking to take the next step and their career.

You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and driving revenue growth. You’ll be a key contributor to our sales strategy and a trusted advisor to our customers. The primary focus of this role is on the Tasmanian market and is ideal for someone wanting to spread their wings in a multi-hotel environment.

Job Description

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target markets and segments

Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships

Actively promote the area as a destination to boost business room nights

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets

Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing

Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions

Monitor market trends and competitor activity

Maintain accurate sales pipeline and reporting

Qualifications

Demonstrated Business Development, Sales or Account Management experience in a hotel or related tourism industry

Strong track record for meeting or exceeding sales targets

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Self-motivated with a proactive and results-driven mindset

Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into successful outcomes

Strong organisational and time management skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and represent the brand at industry events

Sales & Marketing or Hospitality qualifications highly regarded
