ConnectSydney are on the hunt for an experienced Senior Project Engineer - ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) to join our Rockdale team!

About the Role

ConnectSydney, a joint venture of Service Stream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW (TfNSW), is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure.

The Senior Project Engineer - ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) will manage, plan, organise, coordinate, deliver, monitor and report all pavement delivery activities that result in delivery of the outcomes and achieve time, cost and quality objectives on assigned projects.

Working from our Rockdale office, this role will be a hybrid and will be required to attend site from time to time as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Achieve the delivery of ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) upgrade projects through to completion and submission of all deliverables on time, to budget and to quality standard as agreed with project manager.

Prepare, update and implement the portfolio list of project works.

Manage contractors and staff who deliver projects.

Prepare the list of deliverables/tasks from each project and transfer to the baseline design schedule.

Development of the delivery phase and interface activities.

Interface with internal and external design team for the design requirements

Liaise with client, site and vendors on aspects of the delivery phase and documentation work and organise meetings with them as required.

Interface with cross discipline and external information and documents flow.

Diagnose design related issues and resolves through documentation or escalation to senior management.

Participate in active continuous improvement of processes, procedures, risk and systems.

Monitor and address design changes and non-conformances.

Project management activities for maintenance/construction of road infrastructure, structural, corridor, tunnel and ITS projects

Attend onsite as needed to carry out verifications of contractors

About You:

Engineering Degree (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical)

Experience in delivering ITS/electrical and Civil projects.

Demonstrate (5 + years) experience in structural/civil road work, and concrete footings.

Demonstrated understanding of planning scheduling functions.

Project Management experience.

Ability to work within or lead a team.

Results driven, ability to meet strict deadlines.

Familiar with all activities involved in setting up project teams and site establishment relating to multidiscipline projects.
