About the role

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to drive new business growth within the large format print and signage sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, generating sales, and working closely with production and project teams to deliver high-quality signage and print solutions.

Duties

Identify and develop new business opportunities across retail, construction, property, hospitality, events, exhibitions, and corporate sectors.

Generate leads through networking, referrals, prospecting, cold calling, and digital channels.

Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

Conduct client meetings to understand requirements and recommend suitable print and signage solutions.

Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and presentations.

Negotiate pricing and contracts while maintaining profitability.

Account Management

Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients.

Manage customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products and services.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Industry Expertise

Advise clients on materials, production methods, installation requirements, and project timelines.

Stay informed about industry trends, new products, technologies, and competitors.

Collaborate with design, estimating, production, and installation teams to ensure project success.

Reporting & Administration

Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.

Produce regular sales activity and pipeline reports.

Monitor market activity and competitor developments.

Products & Services Knowledge

Experience with one or more of the following is desirable:

Large format digital printing

Interior and exterior signage

Vehicle graphics and wraps

Exhibition and display graphics

Retail point-of-sale (POS) materials

Window graphics and manifestations

Hoardings and construction site graphics

Banners, flags, and promotional displays

Wall coverings and environmental graphics

Small format print and packaging

Candidate Requirements

Essential

Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management.

Strong ability to generate new business and close sales opportunities.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Self-motivated with a proactive and target-driven approach.

Full UK driving licence.

Preferred

Previous experience within large format print, signage, graphics, exhibitions, visual communications, or related industries.

Understanding of print production processes and materials.

Experience using CRM systems.

Existing network of contacts within relevant sectors.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

New business revenue generated.

Monthly and quarterly sales targets achieved.

Number of new client accounts opened.

Sales pipeline value and conversion rate.

Customer retention and repeat business levels.
