Location: Northwest England (field-based / territory role) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £25,000 - £50,000 + 20% Bonus + Car Allowance

About the Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading independent manufacturer of concrete roof tiles, supplying products across the UK's housebuilding, development and merchant sectors. Our client is a well-established British manufacturer with a strong reputation built on quality, reliability and lasting customer relationships. As the business continues to grow, they're looking for an enthusiastic External Sales Executive to develop their presence across the Northwest of England.

The Role

As External Sales Executive, you'll be the face of the business across your territory, building and maintaining relationships with developers, housebuilders, builders' merchants and subcontractors. This is a varied, field-based role ideal for someone looking to build or grow a career in technical/construction sales.

You'll spend much of your time out on the road meeting customers, visiting sites and identifying new business opportunities, supported by an experienced team back at base.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with developers, housebuilders, merchants and subcontractors across the Northwest

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory

Conduct site visits and customer meetings to understand needs and present solutions

Prepare and follow up on quotations, working towards sales targets

Maintain accurate records of activity and pipeline using the company CRM

Work closely with internal sales, technical and logistics teams to ensure excellent service

Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and product developments

Represent the company professionally at trade events and industry functions

What We're Looking For

Those with experience in construction or building products keen to move into a sales role

Essential:

A confident, personable communicator who enjoys building relationships

Self-motivated with the drive to work independently and manage your own territory

Well-organised, with good time management

A full UK driving licence

Willingness to travel across the Northwest region

Desirable:

Previous experience in external/field sales

Knowledge of the construction, housebuilding or building merchant sectors

Familiarity with CRM systems
