We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing enterprise-level software company with a strong engineering culture and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way. They have recently formed a dedicated Platform Engineering Group, and this is your opportunity to join it at the ground floor, helping to define the patterns, pipelines, and tooling that will shape how their engineering teams build and ship software for years to come.
The Role
Design and build internal tooling, templates, and scaffolding that make the right way the easy way for engineering teams.
Build and maintain robust, fast, and production-ready CI/CD pipelines.
Treat developer experience as a product, gathering feedback and iterating toward solutions that deliver measurable value.
Own test architecture as a deliberate design problem, defining and embedding standards for various testing types.
Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to shape the direction of the platform engineering function.
What You'll Need
Strong software engineering skills with depth in at least one language (Java, C#, Python, Typescript, Go).
Solid hands-on experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines and running containerised workloads in production.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi) and confidence to build production-ready pipelines.
A track record of building tooling or automation that other engineers rely on day-to-day, coupled with strong communication skills.
Desirable: AWS experience, GitHub Actions, continuous release, progressive delivery, or production observability.
