Job Summary:
The Entry Production Planner is responsible for supporting the production planning and scheduling processes within the manufacturing environment. This role involves assisting in the creation of production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring that materials and resources are available to meet production demands. The Entry Planner works closely with senior planners and supervisors to ensure that production plans are executed efficiently. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Planning and Scheduling
Create and maintain production schedules
Coordinate with production team to ensure timely completion of tasks
Monitor production progress and make adjustments as needed
Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement
Material Management
Order and track materials needed for production
Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for restocking
Identify and resolve material shortages
Communication
Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure alignment on production plans
Communicate production schedules and updates to all relevant parties
Address any production related issues and provide regular updates to management
Facilitate communication between production team and other departments
Quality Control
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards
Identify and address any quality issues that may arise
Collaborate with quality control team to improve production processes
Reporting and Analysis
Generate reports on production performance, including productivity, efficiency, and quality
Analyze data and make recommendations for process improvements
Communicate production metrics to management and provide insights for decision making
Training and Development
Train new production team members on processes and procedures
Provide ongoing training to production team to improve skills and knowledge
Identify training needs and work with management to develop training programs
Safety and Compliance
Ensure production processes are in compliance with safety regulations
Identify potential safety hazards and take necessary precautions
Work with safety team to implement safety protocols and procedures
Continuous Improvement
Continuously evaluate and improve production processes
Implement lean manufacturing principles to increase efficiency
Stay updated on industry best practices and implement them in production planning.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
Basic understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
Proficiency in inventory management software and data entry.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
