The Role
The Associate Manager, Ecommerce - Marketplaces (Amazon & Emerging Platforms) is responsible for driving Net Revenue and managing onsite marketing investment across assigned marketplace channels. This position owns working spend deployed primarily through PPC and selective DSP campaigns and is expected to make informed trade‑off decisions across traffic, conversion, efficiency, and profitability.
The Associate Manager sets actionable priorities across catalog, content, merchandising, promotions, and retail media, while continuously evaluating performance and identifying opportunities to improve results. The role carries clear ownership for outcomes across key marketplaces and requires strong judgment, analytical thinking, and proactive problem‑solving in a fast‑moving retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Drives Net Revenue performance across assigned marketplaces, delivering growth targets while ensuring disciplined management of advertising investments and ROI.
Develops, executes, and optimizes full‑funnel retail media strategies across Amazon Ads (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP) and emerging platforms (e.g., Walmart Connect) to accelerate brand visibility, conversion, and profitable growth.
Partners cross‑functionally with Merchandising and Supply Chain to inform inventory planning, forecast demand, and support core assortment, hero SKUs, and promotional initiatives.
Owns end‑to‑end catalog and content management across marketplaces, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a best‑in‑class brand experience on Amazon, Walmart, and other priority platforms.
Leads Brand Store and merchandising optimization, leveraging new and emerging Amazon programs and features to increase engagement, consideration, and brand loyalty.
Translates data into action, analyzing performance across transaction, customer, platform, and account metrics to drive continuous improvement and scalable growth.
Utilizes advanced analytics and platform tools (e.g., Amazon Brand Analytics, Helium 10, native retailer reporting) to proactively identify risks and opportunities, inform decision‑making, and optimize performance.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Concentration in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred
3+ years of hands-on Amazon eCommerce experience (1P & 3P) with direct executional ownership; Walmart experience a plus
Strong expertise in catalog management, marketplace SEO, and content optimization
Experience managing Amazon Ads and/or retail media campaigns
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-centric, with the ability to manage multiple executional priorities in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
Collaborative and conscientious professional who operates with integrity
Clear, effective communicator able to escalate issues and communicate progress as needed
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Beauty industry experience a plus
Familiarity with tools such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Stackline, or similar platforms preferred
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $86,250 - 98,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
