The Role

Netflix is seeking a Corporate Communications Specialist to support our Nordic Corporate Comms team. Our ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and relationship builder who can be a trusted partner to teams across multiple disciplines in the Nordics.

The role will be based out of our Nordic office in Stockholm and will require periodic travel to other locations in the Nordics. You will report to the Director of Communications, Nordics.

This is a unique opportunity as the role will include supporting and devising strategic communication campaigns and helping build out the Netflix brand towards key media, the creative industry, and key opinion formers in the Nordics. The right candidate can skillfully craft narratives, identify speaking opportunities, manage interviews, and turn complex concepts into concise stories for media on a variety of topics - from ads to product, from policy to content, and more.

The position will play an important role on a small team covering Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. The ideal candidate has a proclivity toward execution, goal-setting, and problem-solving.

Overall responsibilities and expectations for the position include, but are not limited to:

Support the development and execution of plans to elevate the Netflix brand in the Nordics in trade and consumer press

Help frame compelling narratives for Netflix through high-quality media placements in entertainment business outlets

Contribute to Comms campaigns, activations, and narratives that can scale across the region

Support media relations and help manage press inquiries, serving as a secondary point of contact where appropriate

Identify and recommend strategic and opportunistic comms initiatives, industry-facing events, and conferences, contributing to programs that reinforce the Netflix brand in the Nordics

Support crisis communications efforts, escalating appropriately and contributing to response plans under the guidance of senior team members

Draft announcements, pitches, and other comms materials

Exercise sound judgment, even when faced with ambiguity, and contribute to strategic thinking across the team

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in communications, preferably within media, advertising, entertainment, and/or technology industries

A solid understanding of the Nordic media and entertainment landscape and the ability to build and nurture relationships with journalists — pitching business, tech, and media stories across TV, radio, and news outlets

Developing experience in executive communications and cross-functional partnerships

Strong relationship-building skills

Solid project management capabilities

Ability to work proactively and independently, managing multiple tasks at once

A good understanding of local cultures across the Nordic region

Strong organisational skills, good judgment of brand and comms risks, and effective time management

A point of view, and the ability to offer your unique perspective and voice
