Band 4 - Medical Secretary

Royal Cornhill Hospital

Salary Band 4 (£31,537 - £34,303)

Permanent Full time, Monday – Friday, 36 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Team Secretary to join Clinical Division B, Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Service to support the Older Adult Psychology & Neuropsychology MH Department.

The successful candidate will provide day to day secretarial and administrative support. This post requires previous sustained secretarial/administrative work experience as essential, preferably gained in a similar environment. Medical secretarial experience is desirable, as is the European Computer Driving License. Candidates should be qualified to HNC level or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 Standard Grades or equivalent including English Language.

Dragon Dictation, reception duties, setting up systems, producing reports, maintaining diary management, experience of MS Office, excellent communication skills, confidentiality, good team working and a sensitive approach to dealing with patients are also essential for this post.
