Salary Range

$124,000.00 - $160,000.00

What’s the role?

We’re seeking an experienced Analytics professional to partner with the product squad building a best-in-class Ads experience for our sellers. In this role, you’ll play a key part in advancing one of Etsy’s most critical seller-facing products: Etsy Ads. You’ll have the opportunity to dive deep into behavioral analyses to better understand Etsy’s seller’s goals, while also diving into the sophisticated machine learning models that power the Etsy Ads ecosystem.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Analytics. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. .

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?

Partner with squads across the Ads Initiative, whose focus is creating an Ads product that enables Etsy sellers to scale their business.

Design and analyze rigorous experiments, help teams set great hypotheses, and deliver robust analysis of experiment results.

Transform raw data into meaningful and impactful analysis characterized by strong data governance, technique transparency, and clear documentation.

Raise the skill level of the entire analytics team through the creation of outstanding work, mentorship, and the introduction of better practices, processes, and tools.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

2+ years experience as a data scientist or data analyst during which you extracted insights from large datasets

Experience in A/B experimentation and statistical analysis of experimental data

Mastery of SQL, and experience with R/Python and other scripting/automation techniques. Bonus points for experience with Looker, Tableau, or other data visualization software

Curious mindset to drive creative problem-solving and business impact

Proficiency in causal inference analysis is strongly preferred

Experience partnering with Machine-Learning squads is a plus

Experience in an e-Commerce setting is a plus
