Contract via a third‑party agency
You will:
Partner with stakeholders to identify workflows, pain points, and high‑value AI opportunities
Translate ambiguous ideas into clear use cases, requirements, and MVP prototype plans
Support prompt engineering, workflow design, and AI solution prototyping
Design agentic workflows combining model reasoning, tools, data, and human review
Run evaluations to test prompt quality, model behavior, workflow feasibility, and user experience
Assess prototype value, feasibility, risks, limitations, and readiness for investment
Coordinate across business users, technology teams, governance partners, and Forward Deployed Engineers
Prepare use cases for delivery by documenting scope, data needs, dependencies, risks, and business context
Capture reusable patterns, prompt examples, evaluation methods, and lessons learned
Monitor emerging AI trends and apply relevant developments to testing and evaluation approaches
You have:
Hands‑on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar platforms
A solid understanding of generative AI concepts, including prompts, agents, context, model outputs, hallucination risk, and evaluation
Systems thinking and the ability to understand how people, processes, data, and technology connect
The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to business audiences
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience translating business problems into structured technical requirements
Comfort working across business and technology teams
Strong problem‑solving skills and confidence working with ambiguity
The ability to manage multiple initiatives while maintaining clear priorities and delivery momentum
A genuine interest in AI, agentic automation, and innovation
You might have:
Exposure to prompt engineering, user testing, prototyping, or workflow automation
Experience in financial services, consulting, or start‑up environments
An interest in AI evaluations, agentic workflows, responsible AI, or frontier model capabilities
Team profile:
Applied AI sits within Technology Architecture & Modernization and serves as Morgan Stanley’s central AI enablement layer. The team partners with business divisions, use case owners, and technical teams to identify, prioritize, and accelerate high‑value AI initiatives.
Applied AI helps translate ideas into investment‑ready opportunities, embeds expertise across the use case lifecycle, and captures reusable patterns and governance practices to scale AI adoption across the firm.
