Legal & Compliance Advisor

We are looking for a commercially minded and analytically strong Legal & Compliance Advisor to join our growing international organization. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of legal advisory, compliance management, data protection, and European regulatory affairs, acting as a trusted business partner to management and operational teams across Europe.

Your Impact

As our Legal & Compliance Advisor, you will play a key role in safeguarding the organization’s legal and ethical integrity while enabling sustainable business growth in a highly regulated environment.

1. Compliance & Ethics

· Support and further develop the organization’s compliance framework across Europe

· Advise on compliance-related issues

· Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and compliance documentation

2. GDPR & Data Protection

· Serve as a key advisor on GDPR and privacy-related matters

· Review and support data processing agreements

· Support implementation of data protection principles in our processes

· Monitor privacy developments and advise on regulatory impact across European markets

3. European Regulatory Affairs

· Advise on European and local regulatory frameworks relevant to medical devices and software

· Support regulatory compliance initiatives

· Contribute to regulatory risk assessments and compliance monitoring activities

4. Risk Management & Business Partnership

· Conduct legal and compliance risk assessments

· Translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into clear operational guidance

· Contribute to process optimization, standardization, and compliance transformation initiatives

5. Legal Advisory & Commercial Contracting

· Draft and review a wide variety of (commercial) agreements, general terms & conditions and contract templates

· Provide practical and business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders

· Assist in dispute management and coordinate with external legal counsel where required

Who are you?

You are a hands-on Legal & Compliance Advisor who combines strategic thinking with execution power.

· Relevant Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Law or Compliance / Risk Management

· Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience

· Solid understanding of:

· GDPR and data protection

· Compliance and ethics frameworks

· European regulatory affairs

· Medical devices/software or regulated industries

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Able to balance legal risk with commercial objectives

· Proactive, pragmatic, and highly organized

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

· Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken
