About the role
The Sales & Use Tax Analyst plays a key role in supporting and improving sales and use tax compliance activities across the division. Core responsibilities include Sales and Use tax preparation support, historical remediation efforts, exemption certificate maintenance, and nexus analysis. The role partners closely with BU Finance and Customer Service teams and Corporate Tax to ensure accurate, timely, and well-documented indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions and legal entities.
Key Responsibilities
Support Corporate Tax team on all data requests and reporting needs, including data needed to preparate and file of U.S. sales and use tax returns across state and local jurisdictions
Assist with remediation of historical tax filing gaps, back filings, and data clean-up initiatives
Support economic nexus and Wayfair-related analysis, including data gathering and exposure quantification
Assist with preparation of materials for voluntary disclosures, amnesty programs, and audit defense
Maintain customer sales tax exemption certificates, including collection, validation, and renewals
Respond to routine state and local tax notices and information requests
Assist with sales and use tax audits by gathering data and supporting documentation
Support implementation and ongoing use of sales tax automation tools and reporting solutions
Document procedures and support continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field
2–5 years of experience in sales and use tax, indirect tax, or related accounting roles
Working knowledge of U.S. sales and use tax concepts including nexus, taxability, resale, and use tax
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and U.S.-based teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting multi-state U.S. sales and use tax compliance
Exposure to economic nexus / Wayfair analysis and historical exposure reviews
Experience with sales tax automation software (e.g., Avalara)
Experience working in a shared services or offshore support environment.
Sueldo: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00 al mes
