In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on electrical safety evaluations, pre-compliance testing, and support of third-party certification activities to ensure products meet applicable North American, European, and LATAM regulatory requirements.

This position will interface closely with design engineering, quality, program management, and external agencies. You will act as a technical resource for electrical safety standards and certification activities including UL/IEC safety standards, EU LVD, and Machinery Directive / Machinery Regulation requirements, supporting products from development through global market access.

NRTL & Certification Agency Coordination;

Support relationships and activities with NRTLs and certification bodies (e.g., UL, Intertek, INMETRO). Coordinate test plans, assist with issue resolution during testing, and review certification reports and technical documentation;

Cross-Functional Collaboration;

Partner with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to integrate safety and compliance requirements into product designs. Support both new product introductions (NPI) and sustaining engineering activities;

Technical Documentation;

Prepare and review technical documentation including compliance reports, risk assessments, product descriptions, and certification support materials required for UL, CE, and regional certification activities;

Testing Support & Travel;

Provide hands-on support for certification and validation testing activities as needed. Occasional travel within LATAM may be required to support regional certification efforts or inspections.
