US Accountant
Location: Andheri, Mumbai (Work from Office) Shift: US CST Time Zone (Night Shift) Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical US Accountant to support accounting and financial operations for our US business. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting fundamentals, exceptional communication skills, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Sage/Peachtree accounting software will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting activities including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain financial reports, reconciliations, and accounting schedules.
Analyze financial data and generate management reports using Advanced Excel.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Coordinate with US-based teams and stakeholders on accounting and financial matters.
Support audit, tax, and compliance-related activities as required.
Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
4+ years of accounting experience, preferably supporting US accounting operations.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including:
Pivot Tables
VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
Index-Match
Advanced Formulas
Data Analysis & Reporting
Conditional Formatting
Financial Modelling (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Sage Accounting / Peachtree Software.
Experience with US accounting processes and financial reporting standards.
Experience working with US-based clients and teams/consultants.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹71,899.72 per month
Work Location: In person
