The Sales Director, Xylem Analytics Lab (Europe & DACH) and EBRO Global is a senior commercial leadership role with full accountability for driving sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion across the Laboratory sub-division in Europe and the DACH region, covering the brands WTW, SI Analytics, Bellingham & Stanley, STM, OI and YSI, as well as leading global sales performance for the EBRO brand. This role is responsible for building, leading, and continuously developing a high-performing, professional sales organization, while actively contributing to enterprise-level commercial strategy development and execution. The position carries end-to-end ownership of sales strategy, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and cross-functional alignment.
The role is based in Germany (remote contract), with regular on-site presence and travel across the region, and reports to the General Manager, Lab Sub-Division.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Growth
Define and execute regional and global sales strategies aligned with business objectives
Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and market penetration
Analyze market dynamics, customer needs, and competition to identify opportunities and risks
Set ambitious targets and ensure rigorous performance management
Customer & Market Leadership
Build and maintain executive relationships with key customers, global accounts, OEMs, and distribution partners
Foster a customer-centric culture focused on value creation and long-term partnerships
Identify and develop new business across existing and emerging markets
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver an integrated customer experience
Sales Performance & Reporting
Lead pipeline management, forecasting, and sales reviews
Leverage CRM and analytics for data-driven decisions
Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Provide clear performance insights to senior leadership
Leadership & Talent Development
Lead a multi-layered international sales organization, including people managers and senior professionals
Set KPIs and accountability across all levels
Drive a high-performance culture with coaching and succession planning
Ensure onboarding, training, and capability development
Product & Portfolio Enablement
Maintain strong understanding of products and value propositions
Enable teams to articulate differentiated value
Provide market feedback into product strategy
Financial & Resource Management
Own sales budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation
Optimize deployment of people and investments
Balance short-term results with long-term strategy
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree preferred
10+ years of progressive commercial experience, including senior leadership roles leading leaders
Proven success managing complex, structured sales organizations
Experience with technical or analytical products preferred
Track record of revenue growth and market expansion
Strong problem-solving and policy development capability
Strategic planning, forecasting, and execution excellence
Executive-level communication and influencing skills
Fluency in English and German
