General Finance Senior Analyst

Position Title: General Accountant Reports to: Accounting Manager

The General Accountant is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and timely month-end and year-end close processes. This role works closely with internal teams to maintain the integrity of financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments.

Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances.

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.

Maintain general ledger accuracy in compliance with company policies and accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS).

Support SOX controls, internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies within accounting operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2–5 years of accounting experience in a corporate or shared services environment.

Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.

Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar).

Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Experience with SOX controls and audit support is a plus.

Advanced English level (written and verbal) preferred.
