Senior Business Analyst – Financial Markets & Transaction Reporting

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in financial markets, transaction reporting, and regulatory reporting systems. The role requires deep domain knowledge of capital markets products, trade lifecycle processing, and regulatory frameworks, with a focus on ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient reporting across global financial regulations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working across Front-to-Back trade lifecycle, particularly in OTC derivatives and FX products, and will have exposure to industry platforms such as Broadridge Financial Solutions or similar regulatory reporting solutions.

This role acts as a key interface between business, operations, compliance, and technology teams, driving requirements definition, solution design support, data analysis, and regulatory interpretation for transaction reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Work as a Senior Business Analyst across transaction reporting and regulatory reporting initiatives within financial markets

Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and regulatory requirements for reporting obligations (e.g., MiFID II and related regimes)

Translate regulatory rules into clear business and system requirements, ensuring alignment with compliance and reporting standards

Analyse end-to-end trade lifecycle flows, including trade capture, booking models, enrichment, validation, and reporting

Perform detailed data analysis and mapping across Front-to-Back systems to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness

Work closely with compliance, operations, technology, and product teams to define reporting logic and resolve gaps

Support implementation and enhancement of transaction reporting platforms (including Broadridge or equivalent systems)

Conduct impact analysis for regulatory changes, new products, and booking model updates, especially in FX and OTC derivatives

Validate data quality, consistency, and reconciliation across source and target systems

Participate in solution design discussions, ensuring regulatory interpretation is correctly implemented in system design

Provide clear documentation, business rules, and functional specifications for development and downstream teams

Support issue analysis and resolution related to reporting breaks, data inconsistencies, and regulatory exceptions

Stay updated with evolving regulatory requirements and financial market practices

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Economics, or related discipline

10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial markets / capital markets domain

Strong expertise in transaction reporting regulations (MiFID II mandatory; EMIR desirable)

Deep understanding of financial products, especially FX and OTC derivatives

Strong knowledge of Front-to-Back trade lifecycle and booking models

Experience working with or supporting regulatory reporting platforms such as Broadridge Financial Solutions or equivalent systems

Strong experience in data analysis, requirement gathering, and functional specification writing

Understanding of trade lifecycle events (new trade, amendment, cancellation, allocations, lifecycle adjustments)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Excellent communication skills for working across business, compliance, and technology stakeholders

Preferred Skills

Strong domain knowledge of capital markets transaction reporting processes

Hands-on experience with FX as a primary asset class (mandatory preference)

Understanding of regulatory data lineage, controls, and reconciliation frameworks

Exposure to regulatory reporting engines or vendor platforms (Broadridge, similar tools)

Exposure to Agile delivery environments
