The salary range for this specific role will be € 46.000 – € 56.000 gross per year.

General Job description:
The (Associate) Client Accountant is part of the Finance team and works under supervision of the Senior Client Accountant and ultimately under the Director Finance and is responsible for the financial affairs relating to client companies in the allocated portfolio with a focus on a particular client sector, product or region. The (Associate) Client Accountant ensures, in close cooperation with qualified legal and tax advisors and in line with legislation and corporate policies, the timely and optimal financial administration of the client companies in line with local legislation and client’s expectations.
Key duties and responsibilities
Corporate and Accounting services:
Conducts and executes the financial administration for clients
Prepares and executes all types of accounts, payments, cash flow, reporting, financial statements, cash position, and fiscal position of client companies
Assists in cash management including the management of bank accounts and payment instructions
Prepares reporting to third parties, e.g. Chamber of Commerce, Dutch Central Bank
Relationship Management
Maintains and develops relations with clients. Acts as the client’s first contact regarding administration and (financial) reports
Maintains contact with clients and advisors about the progress and development which are relevant for client companies
Initiates co-operation with others (among others (S)FAM, (J/S)CL) focused on improving client service
Business Development
Maintains and grows excellent relations with existing clients and intermediaries
Client reporting
Develops the requested and obliged financial report for clients such as periodical balance sheet, profit-and-loss accounts, and annual accounts either in accordance with Dutch GAAP or IFRS
- Analyses financial and fiscal data and draws up different in- and external financial/fiscal reports and statements
(Tax) compliance
Inspects and analyses different tax declarations
Reviews internal and external prepared tax returns
Responsible for timely filing of internal or external prepared tax returns
Client invoicing
Submits own time-writing daily to ensure appropriate chargeability
Responsible for timely cash collection of outstanding invoices
Required knowledge and experience
At least bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Economics or an equivalent
- A minimum of 3 - 4 years working experience in accounting or an equivalent
Knowledge of finance, accounting, and cost control principles
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (Dutch GAAP, IFRS)
Fluent in English both verbally and in writing
