The HR Generalist supports employee engagement, employee relations, and organizational culture in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with employees and leaders to foster a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, respect, and continuous improvement. The HR Generalist serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, helping drive engagement, strengthen leadership effectiveness, ensure consistent application of policies, and support workforce initiatives that improve retention, performance, and the overall employee experience.
Specific Responsibilities:
Employee Engagement & Culture
Partner with plant leadership to drive employee engagement, strengthen organizational culture, and support workforce retention.
Serve as a visible and trusted HR presence across the facility, building strong relationships with employees at all levels.
Champion initiatives that enhance the employee experience while reinforcing accountability, performance, and company values.
Identify engagement trends and opportunities and partner with leaders to implement meaningful improvements.
Employee Relations
Serve as a primary resource for employee relations matters, conducting investigations and ensuring fair, consistent resolution of workplace issues.
Coach supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance management, communication, and leadership effectiveness.
Partner with leaders to address attendance, conduct, and performance concerns while reinforcing accountability.
Ensure consistent application of company policies, practices, and employment laws.
Continuous Improvement & HR Operations
Analyze trends in turnover, attendance, employee relations, and engagement to identify opportunities for improvement.
Support onboarding, recognition, retention, and communication initiatives that strengthen workforce effectiveness.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on employee experience, workforce stability, and HR processes.
Maintain accurate employee records and documentation while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Three or more years of HR experience.
Strong employee relations and performance management experience.
Ability to influence leaders and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferences
Manufacturing or industrial environment experience.
Experience leading employee engagement and culture initiatives.
Experience coaching frontline leaders.
Experience with HRIS platforms, including Workday and/or ADP.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.

The Salary range for this position is $63,100.00-$79,500.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
Compensation
This HR & Recruiting role pays $63k-$80k/yr. Within typical range for hr & recruiting roles in United States.
