HR Business Partner – India (IC Role)

Job Overview

At Ecolab, you will partner with business leaders to drive people strategy and deliver end-to-end HR support across the employee lifecycle. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in enabling business growth through effective talent management, strong employee relations, and robust HR process execution.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the HR Director – India, supporting multiple business units.

What You Will Do

Partner with business leaders to plan and execute HR strategies aligned with organisational goals

Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes (selection, onboarding, development, engagement, and exits)

Drive labour relations and employee engagement initiatives, ensuring a positive work environment

Provide guidance on compensation, benefits, and performance management practices

Support talent development, training, and succession planning initiatives

Maintain and oversee HR records, reporting, and employee services delivery

Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR policies and programmes aligned with corporate frameworks

Drive HR analytics and reporting, including use of tools like Workday and Excel

Influence stakeholders through strong communication, problem-solving, and business acumen

Reporting To: HR Director – India

Scope: Multiple Business Units / Lines of Business

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field

10+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner / Generalist role

Experience in managing end-to-end HR lifecycle processes

Strong understanding of employee relations and HR governance

Working knowledge of HR systems (preferably Workday)

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in an MNC environment within manufacturing or industrial sector

Strong executive presence with effective communication and presentation skills

Proven ability in stakeholder management and influencing leadership decisions

Demonstrated problem-solving mindset and “can-do” attitude

Strong analytical capability and ability to convert data into business insights
