Automation Engineer

The Automation Engineer will be responsible for supporting and enhancing automated systems across a production environment. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to drive improvements in equipment performance, reliability, and overall manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and refine automated equipment and control systems to streamline manufacturing operations.

Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and related control systems.

Identify process improvement opportunities and implement automation solutions to increase throughput and reduce downtime.

Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical, mechanical, and control system components.

Partner with internal teams and external vendors to support equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production data and recommending enhancements.

Ensure all systems adhere to established safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Maintain accurate documentation including system configurations, procedures, and technical specifications.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline.

Hands-on PLC programming experience.

Strong working knowledge of industrial automation systems within a manufacturing environment.

Experience troubleshooting and optimizing automated equipment.

3+ years of experience in automation engineering, controls engineering, or robotics within a production setting.

Exposure to manufacturing environments involving high-speed or complex automated systems.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Compensation Range: $80,000- $130,000
