Compliance Specialist – DC Operations

Employment: Permanent

Location: Almelo, Netherlands

Department: Process & Controls

Level: GL 5

Reports to: Head of Process and Controls

About VF

VF Corporation is a global portfolio of iconic lifestyle brands such as The North Face, Timberland, Eastpak and Vans.

Across our business, we are driven by a purpose‑led and performance‑focused culture, with a strong commitment to people, product and operational excellence.

We believe in creating an environment where associates can grow, make an impact, and help move our brands and business forward.

Let’s Talk About the Role…

As Compliance Specialist, you will take ownership of governance, internal controls and audit readiness for the Almelo Distribution Center.

You will ensure that DC operations run in full compliance with VF internal controls, standard operating procedures, ISO standards and applicable regulatory requirements.

Working closely with DC leadership, Finance and Internal Audit, you will translate compliance frameworks into practical, embedded ways of working that support safe, controlled and audit‑ready operations every day.

This role sits at the heart of operational governance at Almelo and plays a key part in strengthening the long‑term maturity of the site.

How You Will Make a Difference…

Own and maintain the DC controls framework, ensuring processes, RACIs and evidence requirements are accurate, current and embedded in daily operations

Plan and execute internal audits across inbound, outbound, inventory, returns and segregation of duties, identifying risks early and driving clear, actionable follow‑up

Lead root cause analysis and manage the full CAPA lifecycle, ensuring timely closure and verified effectiveness

Govern SOP accuracy and version control, ensuring procedures reflect actual practice and are embedded through training and certification

Own the ISO framework for the DC, sustaining existing certifications and supporting readiness for future certification milestones

Prepare audit evidence, support walkthroughs and manage auditor interactions in a structured and confident manner

Provide clear and structured compliance reporting to DC leadership, covering audit outcomes, CAPA status and risk exposure

Act as a point of reference on compliance implications for process or system changes within the DC

Skills for Success

Degree (MBO/HBO or equivalent) in Quality, Operations, Supply Chain or a related field

Experience in a distribution centre, warehouse or logistics environment, or in a compliance, audit or internal controls role

Experience supporting audits, controls testing or CAPA management

Working knowledge of ISO standards, SOX principles and compliance frameworks

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and structured documentation habits

Clear communicator, able to work effectively with operational teams and senior stakeholders

Proactive and independent working style, with the confidence to escalate risks when needed

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Why This Role Is a Great Opportunity

This is a role for someone who wants real responsibility, not a purely administrative compliance position.

You will have direct exposure to DC leadership, Finance and Internal Audit, and play a visible role in shaping how governance and compliance are applied at site level.

For someone looking to build strong expertise in operational compliance within a complex DC environment, this role offers both depth and development.

What’s In It for You

Ownership of compliance and audit readiness for a key European Distribution Center

Direct collaboration with DC leadership, Finance and Internal Audit

Exposure to operational change, process improvement and governance maturity initiatives

A structured environment to grow expertise in compliance, ISO and internal controls

A collaborative, international working environment within VF

Free To Be, Inclusion & Diversity
