Security & Infrastructure Engineer

The IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer is a hybrid role responsible for implementing and managing core technology infrastructure while ensuring the organization is protected against cyber threats. This position balances IT infrastructure operations and cybersecurity responsibilities, serving as a primary technical resource for server, virtualization, cloud, networking, and backup infrastructure while also have responsibilities for the organization’s security posture in partnership with managed service providers.

Position Intel: This will be a new addition to their Infrastructure team. The current team is 5 total. This position is joining the organization in a place of change from a legacy model of operation to a evolving IT Transformation. The company is focused on future growth and technology advancement leading to newer and better tools across Applications, Infrastructure, Security, etc. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience in a mid-size company and is passionate about taking ownership of their work. This is an opportunity to be well rounded and have your hands in all areas of Infrastructure and Security. The position will be about 50% traditional infrastructure and 50% security. Future initiatives include on prem to cloud, AD Migrations, Fabric migration, security tooling consolidation, network redesign, along with others. This position is intended to be a mid-Sr level role looking for someone responsible for higher level engineering work, this is not an admin function
