[BURBERRY] Assistant Merchandiser

This is a 1-year contract role with potential discussion for permanent conversion, subject to individual performance and business needs. The successful candidate will be given priority consideration should a permanent opportunity become available.

Job Purpose

The Assistant Merchandiser will support the Assistant Manager in overseeing product operations, sales analysis, inventory management, and retail communication across the Accessories category. This role will work closely with Retail, Supply Chain, Planning, and APAC teams to ensure efficient product flow and successful execution of seasonal strategies within a luxury retail environment.

Responsibilities

Merchandise Operations

Support seasonal buying activities and merchandising operations

Monitor product launch timelines and shipment status

Assist with product allocation and inter-store transfers

Maintain and update product data in SAP

Sales & Inventory Analysis

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports

Analyze sales performance, best sellers, and slow-moving products

Monitor inventory levels and sell-through performance

Support replenishment and markdown activities

Conduct competitor benchmarking and market trend analysis

Retail Communication

Coordinate with Retail and Store teams on product-related matters

Respond to product inquiries and operational requests from stores

Support the preparation of product training materials

Personal Profile

2–4 years of merchandising experience with a strong retail mindset

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Experience with SAP is preferred

Strong analytical and numerical skills

Business-level English communication skills preferred
