VoIP Engineer Team Lead. Based Germany

Kamailio SIP proxy & routing at scale
SIP protocol expertise
What you'll do
Own the telephony infrastructure and work at the intersection of ai and telephony
Design, build and scale a FreeSWITCH and Kamailio stack capable of handling high-throughput, low-latency call volumes for global enterprise clients.
Integrate the voice layer directly with large language models and agentic AI systems. You'll be solving problems most engineers haven't encountered yet.
Lead architecture decisions, drive engineering standards and mentor future hires as the team scales.
You'll likely come from Real-time communications or VoIP infrastructure
You have run FreeSWITCH and/or Kamailio in demanding, high-availability environments.
Experience of AI-powered voice or conversational AI platforms
You've worked where telephony meets LLMs either call automation, voice assistants, or contact centre AI. You have the 'helicopter view'.
5+ years of hands-on VoIP engineering
Remote work:
This role supports remote working from locations in Europe countries within a 2 hour flight time to Germany. The engineering culture is highly motivated, technically challenging and focused on a platform designed for scale.
