Job Title: Senior Manager – Industrial Relations (IR)Department

Human Resources / Industrial Relations

Location : Lucknow

Manufacturing Plant / Railway Rolling Stock Manufacturing Facility

Qualification Mandatory:

MBA / PGDM in Industrial Relations, Personnel Management, Human Resource Management, Labour Welfare, or equivalent specialization in Industrial Relations.

Additional certification in Labour Laws or Industrial Relations will be an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, and Labour Law Compliance.

Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Railway Manufacturing, Heavy Engineering, Automotive Manufacturing, Rolling Stock, Engineering & Industrial Manufacturing sectors.

Proven experience in handling unionized workforce and large manufacturing plant operations.

Job Purpose

To lead and manage Industrial Relations activities, maintain harmonious employee relations, ensure compliance with labour laws, handle union interactions, resolve industrial disputes, and support business continuity through effective workforce engagement and statutory compliance.

Key ResponsibilitiesIndustrial Relations Management

Develop and implement IR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

Maintain cordial and productive relationships with workers, unions, and employee representatives.

Lead collective bargaining discussions and wage settlement negotiations.

Handle disciplinary matters, domestic enquiries, grievance redressal, and conflict resolution.

Prevent and manage industrial disputes, strikes, lockouts, and workforce disruptions.

Labour Law Compliance

Ensure compliance with all applicable labour legislations including:

Industrial Relations Code

Factories Act

Contract Labour Regulations

Minimum Wages Act

Payment of Wages Act

Employees' Provident Fund (EPF)

Employees' State Insurance (ESI)

Standing Orders and other applicable labour regulations.

Liaise with government authorities, labour departments, factory inspectors, and regulatory bodies.

Employee Relations

Drive employee engagement and workforce communication initiatives.

Address employee grievances and workplace concerns in a timely manner.

Promote a positive industrial climate and employee morale.

Contract Labour Management

Monitor contractor compliance with statutory requirements.

Ensure proper documentation, audits, and labour compliance of contractors.

Coordinate with operations and project teams for manpower planning.

Legal & Disciplinary Matters

Manage disciplinary actions, misconduct cases, and domestic enquiries.

Coordinate with legal advisors regarding labour court matters and statutory notices.

Maintain all IR-related records, reports, and legal documentation.

Stakeholder Management

Partner with plant leadership, operations, safety, and HR teams.

Represent the organization in labour-related meetings and negotiations.

Build strong relationships with external stakeholders and government authorities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

MBA (Industrial Relations/HR) from a reputed institute.

10+ years of IR experience in railway manufacturing or similar large-scale manufacturing environment.

Experience handling unionized workforce of 500+ employees in manufacturing industry.

Strong exposure to labour law compliance, negotiations, and statutory authorities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple stakeholders.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹78,000.00 per month
