Job Summary:
As a Salesforce Engineer, you will play a key role in enhancing and optimizing our Salesforce platform, a critical system that supports core business operations. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable solutions that align with business needs and technical standards.
In this role, you will take ownership of development tasks and features from requirements through delivery, while collaborating closely with the Salesforce Product Manager, Salesforce Administrator, Delivery Manager, and senior technical team members. You will contribute to solution design, ensure code quality, and help drive continuous improvement across the platform.
This role is ideal for someone who can work independently on most development efforts, contribute to solution design, and is continuing to grow toward deeper technical expertise and broader system ownership.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal teams and external development resources to enhance Salesforce functionality and support ongoing product development.
Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications, ensuring scalability, security, and adherence to platform limits.
Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other custom code to extend Salesforce capabilities.
Build and maintain custom user interfaces using Lightning components (LWC/Aura) and Visualforce where applicable.
Integrate Salesforce with other enterprise systems using APIs and middleware as needed.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including debugging and performance optimization.
Maintain proper documentation, including technical specifications and test coverage for all custom development.
Collaborate on release cycles to deliver new features and enhancements.
Follow Salesforce best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards and processes.
Job Qualifications
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or comparable work experience or military experience
Salesforce certification a plus
Work Experience
3+ years of Salesforce development experience
Solid understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, data model, and declarative tools
Experience integrating Salesforce with other systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development tools
Understanding of the Salesforce development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and environment management.
