About the role
We are partnering with a fast-growing Financial Services firm in Berlin, seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst. Within the role, you will play a critical role in supporting commercial decision-making, planning, and performance analysis across different products, regions, and customer segments. Your work will help shape business strategy and drive smarter resource allocation.
Key responsibilities:
Building and maintaining financial models for planning, forecasting, and key decisions
Evaluating the return on investment for commercial and strategic initiatives
Analyzing profitability by product, geography, and customer segment
Supporting business planning, budgeting, and long-range forecasting
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess performance
Improving reporting and planning processes through automation and new tools
Contributing to strategic projects, including market assessments and potential acquisitions
Key Skills:
3+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, ideally within fintech, venture capital, private equity, or transaction services
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Ability to translate analysis into actionable business recommendations
Strong commercial judgment and initiative
Independence and experience in fast-paced, lean environments
Experience with automation or coding (Python or similar) is a plus
Lateral thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving ability
