Compensation: Salary starting at $23per hour, plus eligible benefits, in accordance with experience and internal equity

SUMMARY

The team lead is responsible for the operation of a section within the Warehouse function. Supporting the Management Team with the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, responsible for a group of operators and ensuring an efficient warehouse operation in achieving business targets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations:

Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation which fulfils operational and customer demand and meet set targets

Assist in labour planning

Identify any systems and continuous improvements and make recommendations for change

Produce regular reports and statistics as and when required

Ensure a clean and tidy 5S working environment to aid operational efficiency.

People Management:

Communicate with staff on a regular basis to ensure awareness of priorities, targets and operational requirements

Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Manager

Actively committed to teams’ development and growth, through training

Have a collaborative approach to working with others.

Safety:

Ensure that working area is clean and all equipment stored in its proper place at the

end of the shift

Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of products and materials is carried out in

accordance with proper handling procedures

Ensure staff comply with health and safety regulations and work safely to protect

themselves and others in the warehouse environment.

Customer Service:

Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies when required in time

manner.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, SKILLS:

Ability to lead, motivate and develop others

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management System)

Proficient in MS Word (Outlook and Excel)

Excellent attention to details

Analytics and problem solving

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma.

1 to 2 years of experience in warehousing environment

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
