We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our growing Engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing industrial control panels, generator control systems, switchboards, and automation solutions using EPLAN Electric P8. This role is critical in ensuring our designs meet customer requirements, industry standards, and production expectations.

You will play a key role in designing the electrical systems that power critical infrastructure and industrial operations across North America. Your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of generator control panels, switchboards, automation systems, and custom power solutions.
Electrical Designer Key Responsibilities
Design electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using EPLAN Electric P8
Develop designs for:
Generator control panels
Industrial control panels
VFD panels
Switchboards
Power distribution and automation systems
Create Bills of Materials (BOMs), cable schedules, and Operation & Maintenance Manuals
Select electrical components including PLCs, VFDs, breakers, relays, power supplies, terminal blocks, and control devices
Review and improve existing designs, templates, and engineering standards
Collaborate with production, service, project management, and engineering teams
Assist with troubleshooting, redesigns, and engineering support during manufacturing and commissioning
Ensure all designs comply with CSA standards, applicable electrical codes, and industry best practices
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department
Qualifications
Strong experience using EPLAN Electric P8
Experience with AutoCAD is considered a strong asset
Thorough understanding of electrical schematics, panel layouts, and control system architecture
Familiarity with CSA and UL panel standards
Ability to read and interpret electrical specifications, one-line diagrams, and control narratives
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment

Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
