About the role
Construction Project Manager (Solar, BESS & EV Charging – C&I)
Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead C&I solar, BESS, and EV charging projects across multiple U.S. markets.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects from pre-construction through closeout
Oversee permitting, AHJ coordination, and approvals
Coordinate engineering resources and subcontractors
Support utility interconnection processes
Manage schedules, budgets, and forecasts
Review contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Oversee procurement, equipment, and vendor sourcing
Serve as main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Requirements
5-10+ years managing C&I solar, BESS, or EV projects
Strong construction and energy systems knowledge
Experience with interconnection, permitting, and AHJs
Proven subcontractor and vendor management experience
Experience with estimating, cost control, and take-offs
Proficiency with tools like Procore, MS Project
Degree in construction, engineering, or related field
PMP certification preferred
Location & Schedule
Multi-state project work with travel as needed
Hybrid flexibility
Initial 3–6 months based in Martinez, CA
