Our client is a roadway system, and as a part of their digital transformation, they are implementing a solution based on SAP BRIM & Microsoft Dynamics CE.
Data-Core Systems Inc. is seeking a SAP Convergent Mediation Developer to be a part of our Consulting team. You will participate and effectively contribute to the design, development, and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. You will provide technical expertise and systems design for individual initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work with other SME consultants from our existing team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
SAP Convergent Mediation Development.
Design, develop, configure, and support SAP Convergent Mediation (CM) solutions and processing flows.
Mediation pipelines.
Data transformation logic.
Event enrichment processes.
Routing and filtering rules.
Aggregation and normalization processes.
Support enterprise event processing and billing data management operations.
Usage Data Processing & Transformation.
Develop solutions to process and transform high-volume usage and event data from multiple source systems.
Support:
Event collection.
Usage normalization.
Data validation.
Error handling.
Event enrichment.
Duplicate detection and correction.
Ensure accurate and reliable event processing for downstream billing and charging systems.
Integration & Interface Development.
SAP Convergent Charging (CC).
SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI).
SAP FI-CA.
SAP S/4HANA.
CRM platforms.
External event and network systems.
Support APIs, middleware integrations, file-based interfaces, and real-time event processing frameworks.
Collaborate with integration architects and middleware teams on enterprise integration strategies.
High-Volume Performance Optimization.
Analyze and optimize mediation performance for high-volume transactional environments.
Tune mediation pipelines, workflows, and processing engines for scalability and throughput.
Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and system processing issues.
Support capacity planning and operational scalability initiatives.
Technical Development & Automation.
Develop custom scripts, automation routines, and technical enhancements supporting mediation operations.
Support Linux/Unix scripting and automation activities as required.
Assist with batch processing optimization and operational automation initiatives.
Ensure development adheres to enterprise standards and security requirements.
Testing & Quality Assurance.
Unit testing.
Integration testing.
Performance testing.
User acceptance testing (UAT).
Validate mediation outputs, event processing accuracy, and integration functionality.
Support defect analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution activities.
Production Support & Operations.
Monitor mediation environments and resolve operational incidents.
Support production deployments, maintenance windows, and go-live activities.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support operational reporting and reconciliation activities.
Documentation & Governance.
Technical specifications.
Mediation flow documentation.
Integration diagrams.
Operational procedures.
Support runbooks.
Ensure compliance with enterprise governance, security, and operational standards.
Support audit and compliance initiatives related to billing and usage processing.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement.

BASIS administrators.
Infrastructure engineers.
Business stakeholders.
Participate in architecture reviews, technical workshops, and Agile delivery activities.
Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to operational support teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
3-7 years of SAP technical development or integration experience.
2+ years of direct SAP Convergent Mediation (CM) development experience.
Proven experience supporting enterprise billing and event processing environments.
Strong understanding of high-volume data processing and mediation concepts.
SAP Convergent Mediation pipelines.
Event processing workflows.
Usage data transformations.
Mediation and routing logic.
Event-driven architectures.
Billing and charging processes.
Usage-based billing models.
Enterprise integration concepts.
High-volume transaction processing.
Experience with: SAP BRIM ecosystem (CC, CI, FI-CA), APIs and middleware platforms, SQL and database concepts, Linux/Unix scripting, Performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Strong integration and event-processing development capabilities.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical mediation solutions.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with: SAP S/4HANA, SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, Kafka or event streaming platforms, Cloud-native SAP deployments, DevOps and CI/CD methodologies.
Experience in utilities, telecommunications, transportation, finance, or subscription-based industries.
Experience supporting high-volume enterprise billing systems.
Experience supporting Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.
Prior consulting or contractor experience in enterprise SAP environments.
Certifications & Education Qualifications:
SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management.
SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver.
SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA.
SAP S/4HANA technical certifications are preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Related technical discipline.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
