Registered Behavior Technician
About the role
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, support skill development, and promote positive behavior change under the supervision of licensed behavior analysts. Duties
Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions based on treatment plans developed by licensed behavior analysts
Collect and record data on client progress, behaviors, and skill acquisition to inform treatment adjustments
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene routines
Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
Support clients in developing communication, social, and life skills through teaching techniques rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA)
Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in intervention delivery and progress monitoring
Experience
Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management techniques is highly desirable
Strong communication skills and patience are essential for building trusting relationships with clients and families
Ability to follow detailed instructions, accurately collect data, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
Experience assisting with medical documentation, understanding medical terminology, and working within special education or behavioral health settings is a plus
