About the role
Eaton’s Electrical Sector is seeking a Country Sales Leader France, to lead our French country operations within the South Europe Zone and act as General Manager of the French legal entities.
Role Summary:
Eaton is seeking a senior commercial and country leader to head Eaton's France country sales organization - one of the largest and most strategically critical markets in the region.They will be both sales director for a number of segments and managing director of the French legal entity (EIF).
The role combines full country sales accountability, matrix and strategic sales leadership, across multiple segments and channels, and managing director responsibility for the legal entity. The leader will directly own key segments, including C&I and wholesale, whilst driving performance across indirectly managed segments such as Utilities, IT Channel, DC and Services within a matrix model. They will define and execute the country growth strategy to ensure delivery of the France country profit plan, and represent Eaton at the highest level with customers, partners, institutions and employee bodies. Operating in a highly regulated and socially structured environment, the role requires strong leadership in stakeholder management, social dialogue, and legal entity governance.
Travel for this position may be up to 50%.
What you’ll do:
Own France country performance end-to-end, with full accountability for sales delivery across all segments and channels, combining direct leadership (C&I, wholesale) and matrix influence (Utilities, IT Channel, Data Centers, Services).
Define and execute the France commercial strategy, aligned with EMEA direction, ensuring disciplined execution of growth plans, pipeline management, and cross-segment collaboration to deliver the France Profit Plan.
Lead P&L and business performance, including revenue growth, margin expansion, forecasting accuracy, cost control, and identification of strategic growth opportunities (including partnerships and acquisitions).
Act as Managing Director of French entities (EIF), serving as legal representative, ensuring compliance, governance, and effective engagement with external stakeholders, institutions, and authorities.
Lead social dialogue and employee relations, including presidency of works councils (CSE/CSSCT), union negotiations, and maintaining a compliant, constructive social environment.
Build and lead a high-performing organization, shaping the country operating model, developing talent, embedding a performance culture, and driving adoption of digital tools, EBS standards, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience.
Represent Eaton at senior level, internally and externally, ensuring alignment across divisions, functions, and regional leadership while strengthening Eaton’s position in the French market.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (business or technical discipline).
Extensive leadership experience ( 15+ years) in sales, general management, or commercial leadership roles within complex B2B environments.
Skills:
Proven track record in senior commercial or country leadership roles of comparable scale and complexity.
Demonstrated P&L ownership >€150M, with consistent delivery of growth and profitability.
Strong experience operating within multi-segment, multi-channel, matrix organizations.
Deep capability in strategic planning and disciplined execution across diverse business lines.
Experience engaging with works councils and unions, including negotiation in regulated labor environments.
Strong understanding of French legal, regulatory, and social frameworks.
Industry knowledge in electrical, energy, or adjacent sectors; exposure to Data Centers, IT Channel, or C&I is advantageous.
Fluent in French and English.
High-impact leader with strong presence, resilience, and credibility at executive level.
Strong stakeholder management capability, internally and externally.
