Locum Tenens - Psychiatrist Job - Make Up to $30,000 per Month

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Locum Tenens Psychiatrist to join a collaborative healthcare team committed to delivering high-quality behavioral health services. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations, risk assessments, and diagnostic assessments

Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and other behavioral health conditions

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices

Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications while monitoring efficacy, side effects, and patient adherence

Provide ongoing psychiatric follow-up care, medication management, and treatment adjustments as needed

Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, nurses, primary care providers, and other specialists to coordinate patient care

Evaluate patients for crisis intervention needs, hospitalization requirements, and appropriate levels of care

Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and available resources

Accurately document patient encounters, treatment plans, and clinical decisions within EMR/EHR systems

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, clinical protocols, quality standards, and applicable state and federal requirements

Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and contribute to a positive, patient-centered care environment

Requirements

Active MD or DO license in the applicable state

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

DEA registration and unrestricted prescribing authority

Experience providing psychiatric care in inpatient, outpatient, correctional, community mental health, emergency psychiatry, or telepsychiatry settings preferred

Strong diagnostic, psychopharmacology, and treatment planning skills

Experience utilizing EMR/EHR systems for clinical documentation and patient management

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient engagement skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Experience treating adult, geriatric, child/adolescent, addiction, or forensic populations is a plus
