We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health care to patients across various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and assisted living facilities. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Duties
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for patients of all ages.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
Provide medication management, including prescribing psychotropic medications and monitoring their effects.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
Participate in clinical research projects as needed to contribute to advancements in psychiatric care.
Engage in telehealth services to access to mental health support for patients.
Skills Candidates should possess a diverse skill set that includes but is not limited to:
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, eClinicalWorks.
Experience with behavioral health assessments and treatment modalities.
Knowledge of psychopharmacology and medication administration protocols.
Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
Skills in patient assessment, triage, and acute care management.
Experience working in various healthcare settings including hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, outpatient clinics, urgent care facilities, and home care environments.
Competence in performing procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, phlebotomy, catheterization, spinal taps, and administering injections.
Understanding of critical care principles and experience in emergency medicine or ICU settings.
Strong communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with the healthcare team. Pay: $80.00 - $110.00 per hour
